Body Fat – How to Reduce without Extreme Workouts?

One of the goals of people who regularly go to the gym or just exercise in general is to lower their body fat. It is a very simple goal but it’s one of the hardest things to do. It’s one of the most rewarding things when you try to lose weight either for bodybuilding or just getting in shape.

Body fat is essential to our body in order to survive but we also need to maintain it at a low level in order to stay healthy. Anything above 10% body fat for males and over 15% for females are considered high so you really need to work on losing those fat if you are over the said figures.

Here are some tips that can help you stay on point with regards to your goal of losing fat and getting fit. Most of these will require some time in the gym as working out is essential in getting rid of the unwanted fat. Don’t worry though, you will not be required to be in the gym for hours and work until you pass out, you just need to be consistent in order to see progress. Here they are.

  • Make a Schedule and stick with it

Making a schedule and sticking with it will allow you to see progress in your goal of losing fat. Your schedule should not be hard to follow, go with your own pace but be consistent and follow your plan and schedule.

If you follow your schedule consistently, soon enough, you will see improvements and this will motivate you to stay the course.

If you are struggling in following up but you are really serious about your goal, maybe a good idea is to hire a trainer that will help you stay focused and motivated. A personal trainer will be able to guide you and support you if you ever have doubts and since they are professionals, they will be able to help you with your program and design a personalized schedule that is just right for you.

  • Eating and Drinking

For beverages, the first thing that you should refrain from is alcohol. Alcohol is very detrimental when it comes to losing weight as it is considered “liquid bread” in many circles. Drinking moderately is fine, just don’t overdo it.

Drinking alcohol will just add up calories and it can lower your testosterone temporarily and testosterone is essential in losing weight. Aside from alcohol, you should also avoid sugary drinks and sodas.

As for eating, you will need to learn your daily calorie intake and how much you need to burn everyday. A simple rule is that you take in less calories than you burn in order to lose weight so this is a bit personal and only you can know how much you should be eating. A nutritionist or diet expert is a good option but not a necessity.

  • Taking Supplements

Supplements can have a great effect in your effort to reduce body fat. Of course, you should not be over reliant on them and they will only work if you put in the hours in working out and eating right.
